(Realization of Trichotomic Thinking)

A major part of what I am describing as "Evolutionary Psychodynamics" involves not only considerations of what conscious is and when/how/why (and to what life form) it first became manifested, but whether there is an overall developmental trend that can be plotted on a graph so that others might more easily grasp the realization from their own perspectives.
When speaking of consciousness, let us develop the view that we well permit ourselves the advantage point of categorization, so that distinctions of types, such as for qualitative and quantitative decipherments can be made, and we do not simply act as some primitive piling every shell or bead in their possession into a lump-sum overview. At the outset, however crude might be our initial efforts, a basic mode would thus differentiate biological and non-biological models of consciousness. A division byway of duality might well ensue and be called a Binomial system of differentiation. However, the use of the label "non-biology based" may seem much too simplistic and present itself as a different type of primitive "lumping together" whereby finer points of consciousness types begin to emerge into recognition which require an alteration in the system to produce a Trinomial system which now characterizes three types of biological configurations of consciousness related to the three germ layers, and those gradients of consciousness which predate the existence of the 3 Germ layers, though they involve constituent matter of precursor elements... in other words, that presumed value of consciousness which can be claimed to have existed with some fore-runner of the 1st Germ layer... which may not be biological as yet, because it exists in a chemical state. Yet, then we apply a retrograde approach of analysis and think that there may have existed the precursor elements of consciousness in early and later developments of atomic particle/energy expressions.
While the word "Trichotomization" is not a currency of regular discussion, it needs to be. I believe many people are and many people in the past have experienced either transient or sustained experiences in their respective personalized developmental niche of a phenomena I am calling a 3rd Consciousness. Like the fractions and decimal points on a number line between the larger Natural numbers, such as we encounter displayed on rulers, tape measures and other models of measurement, such is the case for individualized variations of this 3rd consciousness just as it does with the 2nd and 1st consciousness variations having occurred along the evolutionary time-line. It is a time-line that typically becomes deciphered with all-encompassing generalities such that a person describes all of existence as (a) god or that all of existence is consciousness.
Such views are like a primitive who describes all quantities and qualities beyond the value "2" as being many, or heap, or all, or much, or pile, or some other label which they can use to evade the recognition of not being able to conceptualize the next valuation(s), much less create an understanding of formulation or create both practical, philosophical and meta-physical algorithms. The use of "2" suits them and their society well, because everyone sharing the same limitation of world-view orientation immerse themselves and their institutionalized inter-connectivities in this "twoness", which we may describe as a use of dichotomization. To speak of and point out a Trichotomization may well be met by those who try to interpret it within their practiced 2-base rationalities and may dissect a philosophy of Trichotomization into gradients which best fit their 2-based contrapted orientations being loudly espoused by all the resources and influential rigor at their disposal to claim it is not a new idea, but re-worked ideology which they have already considered and formulated without finding anything which exists their preferential organizational schemas of twoness... including those who want to emphasize a distinction between themselves and another as an indication of superiority, when... without being able to do so, they have not real distinction or value other than an accepted neurosis among their peers.
Like the duality of the yin/yang which the ancient Chinese thought that they had achieved a greater level of consciousness by immersing the dualities into a complex configuration of "complexified" expressions of duality represented as triads in the I-Ching, so too do others whose main perspective it is to attempt some formula of superiority by using some duality as a centerpiece of constructed ideology without making a distinction, because to do so requires a perspective beyond that used. It is better to sound enigmatic and give the impression of having some hidden knowledge than to express some simple definitive indicating that one is chasing one's own tail or the tail of another/others in pursuit of that which is desired but not achievable from the comfortable porch of dualities they embrace and are embraced by.
Specifically, I am speaking about those who claim the practice of a supposed third type of sexuality in contrast to the historical value placed on heterosexuality and monogamy. Whereas some of the LGBTQ+ cave dwellers even think to describe themselves as a 3rd species!, not recognizing their penchant for expressing some model of threeness is not an indication of superior thought, wisdom, insight or consciousness, but the emergence of a different kind of consciousness not dependent on their silliness of body functioning which requires no human thought, wisdom, insight or even consciousness, since Nature endows with the necessity of a dominant practice for the purposes of perpetuating the species. If we were to separate all the respective individual groups of the LGBTQ+ and place them all on separate planets without contact with Earth or each other, it would not take very long for their demise to ensue. Hence, just because someone's use of a "three" model signals their personalized excursion into a developing new (3rd consciousness) does not sanctify that their model likewise represents a perspective which means their physical bodies have functionally followed into a similar revelation of accomplished development. The body remains in a very primitive state, though the brain is an organ which has the potential of malleability to develop beyond itself. Such a developmental trek needs to be smart enough not to be overly influenced by the basement impulses of its primitive body below the staircase of its ascending consciousness which is neither to be fooled by the drugs of religion, eastern philosophy, mathematics, art, music, sociology, anthropology, politics, economics, etc. that are created by those whose underlying formulations were crafted by the antiquities inherent in dualistic conceptualizations.
On the other hand, it is of value to also be cautions about automatically adopting some expressed trichotomy because like dichotomization, it too can be used by those whose mental/emotional/physical state are inclined towards a neurotic or even psychotic measure of guesturization. In other words, not only can a biologically- based consciousness fall victim to illness, so can artificially based ones as well as mixtures thereof. And it matters not if billions of people hold a view as the absolute truth, all of them could well be engaged in the practice of the same mental/emotional/physical distortions of that reality whose existence and functionality is not dependent on any one's or thing's perspective, interpretation, or judgment... even though there are those who consider the reality which humans are involved with may be a computer simulation or a artificially constructed medium in which all forms of testability play a convincing role because this is how they are constructed.
While supposition can be entertaining, it must be categorized accordingly and not be permitted to unrealistically alter perceptions to create dead ends in contemplation beyond contemplations which may be expressed reactions to given environmental cues that are not sustainable, but may be cyclical occurrences creating a history falsely interpreted as a greater actuality than it really is; thus becoming a self-fulfilling philosophy which many in religion and other apocalyptic adherents want to manufacture in order to sell their views to themselves and others as if in doing so they are enabled to represent themselves with a god-like understanding and formidable percipience colloquially described as "I am right" or "I was right" or the same alternatives in describing the views of another they hold in high esteem.
While an orientation and usage of some "3" labeled idea can be used as a representation, this does not mean an absence of using any number profile indicates a person is lacking in such a development of their consciousness. The development of a 3rd conscious appears to be an unavoidable emergence of evolutionary biology all life forms will be subjected to, either directly or indirectly and not necessarily as a manifested certainty. In other words, don't expect some less biologically sophisticated (lower) life form to start exhibiting some model of superior consciousness. The effect of a 3rd consciousness on "lower" life forms is that caused by the actions of "higher" life forms such as deforestation, chemical and biological administrations, etc...
While the development of a 3rd consciousness is an inevitability, it differentially appears at different times in different people in different ways and expressive volumes that may overwhelm either the person experiencing a large dosage of development in a short period of time and/or those around them who do not know what to make of the person's changes, and may be so frightened as to engage in one of the customary behavioral responses known as fight, flight, or freeze.
Imagine if you will a Mozart-like individual being born into a Neanderthal clan trying to express themselves, and yet their presumed madness or eccentricity is not interpreted as traits of genius! Or how about a person in the current era who is "high on life" with such a natural exuberance their limited vocabulary in a given uneducated social setting is interpreted to mean the person is on drugs, or diseased, or mentally ill. In short, because the idea of a developing 3rd consciousness is so far removed from both the lay public and professionals day to day acknowledgments and considerations, we are faced with a very dire situation for all of humanity, particularly when it is realized that Many professions such as Psychology and Mathematics have an underlying philosophical base which relies on dichotomization. Indeed, when we have scores of students in classes learning Binary computer code, why should the idea of a 3rd consciousness come to mind, even to those trying to create quantum computers with a ternary code?

Take a look at the development of cognition tied to the incremental differences of consciousness related to a simple representation of enumeration, though the idea of a 1- 2- 3 developmental sequence may not come to mind because all you are seeing in this instance are examples of dualities occurring over vast expanses of time in different subjects. And though the genius of the Chinese tried to move deeper into a third consciousness by effecting a supposed formulation of Triads in the I-Ching, a closer look (as seen on page 2 in this series), reveals that they were too heavily invested in dichotomization to move past it to allow for a fuller immersion, largely because, let us assume, the biology of the brain/mind had not reached a stage of development to make this possible, nor had the whole of society reached a stage of support, though their efforts to achieve a fuller realization is extremely commendable.
Let us now look at a list of dualities in Psychology and note that they are widely used in both clinical practice and teaching. And in fact, the presence of dualities is a primary tool for observing and investigating mental illness and disturbances of affect/personality:
Dichotomization is well acknowledged and understood, but the idea of Trichotomization, particularly associated with the idea of a measurable development in consciousness aligned with key biological events, is wholly off the radar of most people, in and out of the field of psychology. As such, we as a species are up against a very serious situation, no matter how often, how little, or by whom the idea might be minimized, dismissed, or go without mention altogether.
Because Psychology, Mathematics, Education, business, politics, warfare, religion, eastern philosophy, and multiple other institutions are so heavily invested in the use of dichotomous thinking, the idea of recognizing... much less promoting the idea of a 3rd consciousness means the establishment of a global social, technological and philosophical revolution that will affect every single vector of society, and bring an end to the environment which presently sustains a recurrence of leadership idiocy in those very same institutions. But a battle is coming... as the smaller skirmishes increase.
Later on in life we can see that individuals who speak of consciousness may think in terms of a Universal Panpsychism... defined in this instance as the idea that the Universe is itself a consciousness and that all things have some quality thereof. In any case, they may not even aspire to defining Consciousness in terms of identifiable levels of emerging biological development suggesting transitions which would thus manifest themselves with convention words, impressions and expressed ideas. Indeed, how does one describe an unknown activity of transition, much like (let us assume) a caterpillar is unaware of their transition into becoming another life form called a butterfly?
Will a person speak in terms of an eventual loss as a type of gain to a broader application of themselves? Will the loss be discussed as a type of journey into death... as the loss of a former way of life. Much in the manner that some speak of reincarnation as a rebirth, and yet this imagery may be a foreshortened idea about a transition into a new consciousness that is an unknown potentiality and thus can only be described in traditional ideas related to one's belief system? As such, let us not overlook the use of dichotomies in all these different ways of explanation. And let us also not overlook that the topic of some transcendence, of rebirth, of life's encompassing re-evaluation is occurring among people in later years, though it may be that very young people are experiencing transitional episodes into a new consciousness that are being misidentified and mislabeled due to the persistence of many institutions relying on dichotomies.
It is some interest to note and point out that those experiencing some transitional exploration into a third consciousness within the sphere of their given time and place in history and their knowledge, experiences, health, with or without another joining them, etc., that there is a frequent usage of some "third" profile though the word "three" and its synonyms need not be present. And yes, the idea of a 3rd World War can be viewed as a collective expression by some as a reference to some emerging alternative reality... which a new consciousness will bring us, though one should not automatically expect this to be equated with some version of a "happy hunting ground" Valhalla, One with God state, Nirvana, Heaven, future ideal realm of peace, happiness, loss of illness, prosperity, etc...
While Hitler thought in terms of a Third Reich, Garret Morgan developed a three-colored street light, and three inventors are credited with having developed the 3 electrode transistor. There are very many other expressions of "threes" occurring in both good and bad, legal and illegal situations. Yet this is not to say the an orientation to some model of a "three" idea is the primary indicator of someone experiencing a transitional excursion into a "3rd" consciousness. We don't know enough about a 3rd consciousness to make such a claim. And yet, as another example that I have mentioned elsewhere, let us speak of those who describe a "3rd state" of life beyond the presently describe binary concept of life and death, viewed in a dichotomous fashion such as its value to practical applications involving medicine and its value to philosophical applications involving meditations of our existence:

A "third state beyond death" sounds very much like the themes being played out in the discussions of consciousness, both of which give the notion that different people from their vantage points are expressing impressions being generated by a developing consciousness. Whether ideas being generated are practical or not, they point out excursions of an underlying developmental process taking place with the human brain, in keeping with the 1-2-3 development we can see having taken place in other biological themes of expression, as if Nature has in some instances learned to count in terms of a 1- 2- 3 sequentiality... where humanity itself is a cell culture whose multiplication signaled a growth stage preceding further developmental potentialities... and may be experienced in ways that can overwhelm a person if they do not take steps to allow for gradient exploration so as not to shock their system which reacts negatively and decides to seek refuge in some form of unconsciousness such as the madness of repeated war/conflict, pestilence, inebriation (drugs, alcohol, criminality, religion, eastern philosophy, commerce, politics, sports, etc...) or death... with or without an apparent cause.
However, again let me emphacise, the development into a new consciousness should not be regarded as an automatically expressed "higher/superior/greater" knowledge, intelligence, wisdom, insight, compassion, etc., that is accompanied by some super-human or super-natural feature(s). It is a capacity for interpreting perceptions and experiences differently than those whose consciousness, whose brain activity, whose instinctual responsivity is ensconced (more firmly fixed) in the previous level of consciousness which appears to be heavily "sedated" with dichotomization. For example, whereas you can give an apple to a horse and a chimpanzee, the chimpanzee may will figure out how to make an apple pie, apple sauce, or even pronounce "Apple core, Baltmore... who's your favorite friend?", whereby they toss it or pretend to toss it jokingly at someone. However, different things occur when presented with different perceptions that the horse can not even begin to visualize nor make an effort to gesture about... which very many ideas about presently considered deep philosophical questions are being proposed. In other words, ideas about space, time, dimension, reality, consciousness, etc., are fumbled-about gestures being created by a consciousness evolving into a new level.
Some people are born into the beginnings of a new consciousness but the era in which they develop in are not rightly conducive to assist the new model of consciousness to reach it more fuller potential. Instead, the are confronted by various non-sensical dualities which they are forced to embrace and navigate the world with, often losing themselves in a place where the budding new consciousness is sacrificed into disabling contours of reflection and dissemination of energies.
Anyone at anytime who is experiencing a developmental change in consciousness can have impressions which they may not be accustomed to thinking about, and think to interpret such thoughts in positive or negative ways, and even exorbitant values of either... For example, one's experiences of impressions being created by a developing newer consciousness may well overwhelm a person as to make them think they are having a revelation, if they have such a word in their vocabulary and have previous ideas about such a possibility occurring. Another person might become overwhelmed to the extent they think themselves a genius or that something/someone is trying to communicate with them... even an extra-terrestrial contact.
On the other hand, a person interpreting the experiences of their budding new consciousness impressions may describe them in a negative way and think themselves ill, going crazy/losing their mind, or try to silence them with drugs, alcohol, or some social distraction meant to drown out the recurrences.
And most people may not even think in terms of experiencing the development of a new consciousness or else seek out some explanation that others have tried themselves to explain in some New Age contraption of ideology, if not some refashioned antiquity, replete with garb, language and ceremonialism.
One size does not fit all contemplations nor constructed interpretations. Which is made more difficult for those striving to interpret expressions and behavior which may be mixed with previous uses of dichotomization, spirituality, superstition, mathematics, morality, immorality, diseases, injuries, traumas, current orientations, age, feelings of security/insecurity, etc...
We barely have the notion for developing a graph to highlight a developmental change in consciousness, and therefore are running into the situation of trying to determine the level at which a person is experiencing. In other words, using the previous number graph as an expression of different levels of consciousness and the level at which a difference is being experienced within a given level, may not be suitably equivalent to the calculus involved in what is being described as a third consciousness, which may in some conventions of expression be termed the "many", if in fact it is meant to express a third concept and not a continuation of a propensity to think in dichotomies.
The use of dichotomization by Psychology and Philosophy as well as Mathematics, politics, religions, etc., entails the need for recognizing that such institutions have created elaborate forms of rationalization as coping mechanisms in dealing with intermittent confrontations of exposure with/to Trichotomization... with the word "Trichotomization" being used in the sense of an actual third entity and not as an incorporated value of a dichotomy, as an assumed superior model of consideration. They will use the tools of the individual and collective ideas to engage in the fight, flight, freeze options characterized as the trichotomy of typical behavioral responses.
In some instances you may well encounter the use of dichotomization being expressed as a plurality and thus be disguised and represented as an argument against any singular number such as 1, 2, 3..., by being viewed in the fashion that the "1" is all and the all is 1... stated as plurality is one and the one is thus all. In this way the use of dichotomization can be used to advance a supposed superior view to itself by including itself in the shadows of the terms employed to represent its dual positioning. Then again, if all of us are socially exposed to adopting the behavior of being deeply immersed in the use of dualities, how do we see an actual "third" as not being a part of a duality if the consciousness we are using has been culturally trained to bend in the direction of dichotomic thinking?
Is the emergence of a third consciousness an unavoidable statement of development that all life forms have the potential to experience eventually in their respective types of evolutionary trek, but since humanity's complexity has brought it closer to the occasion, it is this that humanity will focus on and define in accord with its survival orientation? What then does this present for human society if one after another, if not collectively, humans will experience the inevitability but are unable to fit it into the currencies of dichotomization that multiple social institutions require people to embrace as a standard model of orientation and adaptive application so as to perpetuate those institutions which have developed enveloping philosophical operations of inter-connectivity we call culture? What do we do with the crudeness of a developing consciousness with an underlying other-than-a dominant dualistic inclination to perceive reality, and yet have no historical foundation of consideration about consciousness developing in a measurable manner suggestive of an understandable calculus?
How do we teach the millions of psychologists, psychiatrists, philosophers, teachers, counselors, coaches, human resource officers, etc., that they may be confronting an occasion of Trichotomization versus Dichotomization if such an idea is not in their purview... not on their radar, not part of their job description, not their concern, not their interest, not written about in their sacred texts, or textbooks, or law books, or self-help books, or training manuals, etc... or their cookbooks don't have recipes specifically to benefit the development of a person's 3rd consciousness without going into some superstition, or modernized Ancient Nature philosophy distraction with accompanying deities, ceremonialism and costumes?
Indeed, how does one go about instructing humanity on the presence of a new path of perception if they are caught up in their respective types of
superstition and numerology and will not acknowledge it unless you use the very same ideas and vocabulary which binds everyone to a collectively interactive
antiquity of thinking which they can find no present practicality of application to their interests tethered to primivities they perpetuate? Analogously, what
is the benefit of a Michelangelo trying to instruct portrait and fresco painting to basket weavers, shoe makers, and members of a hunting party? Or how about
a Mozart instructing an audience of primary school children about lofted scales of musical composition? Or how about Australopithocines learning about gun
power by learning the triad mixture of potassium nitrate, charcoal, and sulfur in a 75:15:10 ratio?
