Note: the contents of this page as well as those which precede and follow, must be read as a continuation and/or overlap in order that the continuity about a relationship to/with the typical dichotomous assignment of Artificial Intelligence (such as the usage of zeros and ones used in computer programming) as well as the dichotomous arrangement of the idea that one could possibly talk seriously about peace from a different perspective... will not be lost (such as war being frequently used to describe an absence of peace and vice-versa). However, if your mind is prone to being distracted by timed or untimed commercialization (such as that seen in various types of American-based television, radio, news media and magazine publishing... not to mention the average classroom which carries over into the everyday workplace), you may be unable to sustain prolonged exposures to divergent ideas about a singular topic without becoming confused, unless the information is provided in a very simplistic manner.

The references "program" and "pattern" detail repetition and are processes incorporated into the activities of computation. And even though there is differentiation along an identified three-fold (triploblastic germ layer) path for more complex organisms (which includes humans), and a two-fold (biploblastic germ layer) path for simpler organisms; the repetition of the occurrence from a single cell subjected to a (two-styled) divisioning to create the three Germ layers is overlooked as a 1- 2- 3- sequence applicable to ideas involving computer coding.

The human body, like that of most animals:

  1. Develops from a single cell...
  2. Produced by the union of a male and a female gamete (or sex cell).
  3. This union marks the beginning of the prenatal period, which in humans encompasses three distinct stages:
    1. The pre-embryonic stage, the first two weeks of development, which is a period of cell division and initial differentiation (cell maturation).
    2. The embryonic period, or period of organogenesis, which lasts from the third to the eighth week of development.
    3. The fetal period, which is characterized by the maturation of tissues and organs and rapid growth of the body.

The prenatal period ends with parturition and is followed by a long postnatal period. Only at about age 25 years are the last progressive changes completed.

In the developmental years of individual and the developmental years of a species, we encounter various ideas to which the word "philosophy" has frequently been applied to define a belief or system of belief, though many use the word "science" to give themselves and others the impression of some seriousness that is supposed to be interpreted as a greater level of truth. The binary system of computation applied to computers is referenced with multiple models of a binary system as a means of presenting the idea as a system of logic humanity has used many times in many efforts. While providing supportive examples is not wrong, it is rather one-sided. In other words, those who practice an acceptance of a binary frame of mind, don't look at he philosophy in terms of a larger appreciation of philosophy. In short, they don't place it in context with Monism (singularity), and pluralities such as Tri-ism (trinary), Quadritism (Quarternary), etc... This is possibly due to the fact that multiple examples of plurality beyond the two are not readily available in multiple contexts such as a practice in different subjects. In other words, there are not many who pursue such an effort without that effort being used esoterically in terms of a religious or mystical/magical, or metaphysical application that may have an underlying attachment to superstition.

However, let me break from this trend by providing a short list of three-patterned ideas that we can denote as a philosophical belief:

  • 3 times the fool: You can fool some people some of the time - Some people all the time - But not all people all the time.
  • 3 traditional syllogism forms: Categorical - Hypothetical - Disjunctive
  • 3-patterned basic adult syllogism: All ravens are black - Jack is a raven - Therefore, Jack is black.
  • 3-patterned basic child syllogism: Fuzzy Wuzzy was a bear - Fuzzy Wuzzy had no hair - Fuzzy Wuzzy wasn't fuzzy was he?

There are numerous three-patterned ideas which should be taken account of as part of an overall appreciation of human cognition. It matters not what type of or how much importance is placed on one or another idea, the underlying pattern belongs to the pattern of thought processing which makes up all of human philosophy. While some will venture to make a list of two-patterned ideas to provide as an example of different binary structures having been used because the application to computers give them the encouragement and confidence their effort will not be unduly criticized; they might not readily do so when asked to create a three-patterned list. When a person's only encouragement comes from religion or some superstition-based model of "three" usage, many no doubt would shy away from such an effort for fear they might be viewed in a manner commensurate with a "guilty by association" frame of mind. This might not be the case if computers used a trinary code. The commercial and multiplicity of application creates an enhanced aura of truth in the social sphere.

By referring to a binary code in terms of a "computer science", as some might apply the word "science" to "political Science" or in the format of "Scientology", there is an attempt, as already mentioned, for the value of truth... the clarity of perception and some definitive (analogical) explanation... to be enhanced. Terms such as "cult", "religion", "club", "organization" etc., are not mentioned, for they detract from the intent, albeit not without some sincerity, to appear right. The inclination towards sincerity is not in question, but the mode and manner that is being used as a tool for examination and delivering the culmination, that very often is valued by a measure of quantity.

For example, in an Actual Democracy, everyone would be enabled to vote on all issues and "truth" would be rendered as the culmination of which idea, or political candidate got the majority of votes. However, there are no examples of an Actual Democracy to be taken from history... particularly with regard to a large nation. So-called "Representative" Democracy, and especially one that practices a ludicrous system of voting called an Electoral College when electing a President; is singularly selective as giving evidence for the practice of public manipulation to give the appearance of a majority opinion, when there various minority opinions which are actually enforced. Many people do not like the truth value of majority opinion, particularly when history is replete with examples of great ideas originating from individuals... though the interpretation of a person's idea being great, frequently comes from a minority that convinces the majority that they are right in their selective opinion. Minorities, such as Homosexuals, do not want the nation they inhabit to practice an Actual Democracy... which is the establishment and practice of truth based on majority opinion. They want a so-called form of social governance that permits them to have the majority of opinion for all social practices, which is to establish themselves as being equal to any and all... even if a majority would vote against them. Homosexuals want to be able to sway court opinion, legislative opinion, religious opinion and in short, all opinions to see the world through their perspective... regardless if a majority thinks otherwise... and is an opinion that never gets to be asked, discussed, nor voted in Referendum on, in order to establish the law (truth) of the land.

In seeking truth in court, in terms of a jury trial, the majority of opinion typically takes precedence. In other types of legality, a presiding judge may determine right or wrong by a preponderance of evidence... meaning, the truth of a case is determined by the quantity of evidence which favors for or against a particular question... such as multiple medical opinions. However, the binary scales of justice are set into motion by testimony derived from sessions which may ask a person the three-part question of "telling the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth." No less, we often overlook the judicial setting as a three-some involving a defendant, prosecutor, and Judge. The presence of the jury is an auxiliary component used for only trial-by-jury cases, thus rendering a 3 to 1 ratio as opposed to the typical three-some arrangement. Other patterns-of-three occur in legal proceedings, but far too many people are focused solely on the binary (win/lose) contest then the employed cognitive patterns of the process.

Scales (11K)

[The presence of a jury in a court setting is analogous to the set-up of government which a Cenocracy (New Government) is advocating. It wants a system where the people always play an active role in social self-governance by the establishment of a "Peoples Legislative Branch" that can, if need be, supersede the powers of all three formalized branches of government (Executive- Judicial- Legislative) as part of the Checks and Balances provision. In effect, it acts as the 'odd man out' who breaks stalemates and insures the three traditional branches will not forget their place as leaders who follow the collective will of the people.]

While the tripartite cognitive pattern has been around for awhile, its application to academic and social interests typically involves a higher to lower or lower to higher proposition containing a middle proposition. In other words, many ideas involved a greater and lesser dichotomy (binary formula) where an additional component is inserted between. In some cases you might find that an idea which is being referenced as a lower and higher, weaker and stronger, etc., are actually representations which require an actual lower or higher, weaker or stronger item to be inserted, thus providing evidence that one or another presumed positions are more readily identifiable as being appropriate for a middle position. For example, a seven-foot student at a school is the tallest until someone taller then themselves joins the student body. They then become the middle height of the student body, unless they continue to be categorized as a tall person as well. Similarly, the shortest student would gain the middle position if someone shorter than themselves became a student.

If a person's brain is for some reason "geared" towards a "threes" perspective instead of a "two" perspective in one or another form: (binary, dichotomous, duality, biannual, etc.), their interest in a subject whose members typically discuss ideas in a binary formula... (even if the participants are not actively aware of such)... may come to incrementally develop, or somehow be jump-started into a three-patterned formula after a large array of information is collected and surveyed. A pattern-of-three may emerge as a tool of collation, because a binary tool is inadequate. A trinary formula allows them a means of applying their "mind-scape" over more territory... like a traveler comparing landmarks, foliage, animals and behavior, water, woods, weather patterns, etc... all the while making a mental catalog which establishes the boundary of a map from the perspective of a different traveler. Such a traveler may be new to a subject area or an old traveler... one who decided to, or unwittingly found themselves taking a sojourn beyond the territorial limits of accepted conventional thinking. Either by design or by some act of serendipity they find themselves at a crossroads. They can not go back from whence they came, and can thus only push forward... to accept the binary standard; or choose a path through the methodology of an interpretation involving a trinary formula of organization. The following excerpt is an example thereof:

Meanwhile, the longstanding interest in the Indo-European group of religions was given a new impetus in the work of the French comparative philologist and mythologist Georges Dumézil (1898–), who broke away from an etymological (analysis of word derivations) approach and sought instead the thematic traits of the gods in the mythical material. This approach, pioneered by others before é, also was skeptical of the easy identification of gods with natural forces and emphasized the sociological functions of the divinities—without, however, holding to a reductionist theory. é's theory was partly stimulated by discoveries in the Middle East, notably that of Bog (azköy (Turkey), which revealed a similarity between some of the chief gods of the Indo-European Mitannians and those of the Aryans of the Indian Vedic tradition. His theory correlated the functions of the gods with the tripartite division of Indo-European societies—namely the priestly regal, the nobility, and the producers (agriculturalists, craftsmen). Though his work has been controversial (there are, for instance, some difficulties about its application to ancient Greece, despite the fact that the analysis seems to apply to the threefold division of society into philosophers, warriors, and producers in Plato's Republic), there is no doubt that the search for correlated functions of the kind Duézil postulated has been significant in the area of Indo-European mythology. Dumézil's work is one example of a thematic, comparative study.

"Correlated functions" is another way of describing analogy or "analog"(y) using a trinary formula, in as much as correlating the binary functionalities of heaven/hell, good/bad, right/wrong. The presence of the "2" and the "3" when presented in this illustration are unmistakable. Another example would be to describe a two-party Republican/Democratic system with three Branches of government, though there is a continuing effort to establish a three-party system by including the notion of an Independent party. Such is the wavering effect of a cognitive development. However, a two-patterned focused frequently tries to subvert a three-pattern into a two formula; by way of a dominant two-patterned individual swaying public opinion into accepting one position or another but think they are choosing amongst three options. Binary thinking is its own species of interpretation that has sometimes learned to camouflage itself in a three-piece suit. If you can get people more interested in the embellished garments of a discussion, the scaffolding upon which they are arrayed is more difficult to discern. Instead of saying "love is blind", one might say their sense of number is blinded by the attachment they hold to the topic at hand... even the topic of the binary or trinary.

But difference of opinion is not enough. My intent to initiate a larger discussion of a trinary computational system as opposed to a binary one, may not have its best application in the field of electrical circuitry. We may need the application of a greater metaphysic as an exploratory incentive. For example, if we attempt to correlate the ON and OFF switch of an electrical circuit with Life and Death, it is obvious that our presumed natural intelligence differs substantially from the current model of artificial intelligence... Unless of course we experience billions of death events everyday, in order for our type of intelligence to be sustained. If we prefer to think that we are like a computer that is never turned off, and that sleep or rest is a type of defragging system whose recurrence is programmed into us (though it can be altered or interrupted), do we conclude that the primary program is to keep our body functioning in order to sustain the brain? If the body is programmed to waste away in order to keep the brain alive, is the central nervous system to be equated with the central processing unit of a computer? And like the loss of an appendage (arm, leg, etc.), a computer system can lose appendages (disk player, key functions, memory, etc.), and still remain "alive"?

If we are relegated towards making the selection of a metaphysic based on the binary proposition of comparison, let us reverse the roles of our physiology and apply them to the binary electrical circuit. In such a frame of mind we must ask if there is a "brain" in charge of atomic particle programs, or are all patterns of particles little more than a program set into place by a CPU (central processing unit) whose command come from an external-to-physics event? In additional, is there an overriding but underlying binary formula being carried out in the presence of a trinary formula, such as there being three large subatomic particles, three quarks and anti-quarks, three families of fundamental particles, etc.? Does the existence of matter/anti-matter take precedence, or is this only because we have not yet recognized a third state since the present development of the human brain is still wrestling with a binary organizational format and its dominant presence in the world of various societies organize their world-view accordingly?

Just because we alter the labeling of a dichotomy to be used, does not mean we have found a third alternative. For example, does a "win-win" proposition actually represent something new from a "win-lose" or "lose-lose" situation. Instead of having only one or two dichotomies, we have three... and thus convince ourselves we have may some gargantuan cognitive leap? Similarly, does a three-patterned win-place-show formula actually express a "three", or is it a concealed dichotomy which uses the words "place/show" as a stand in for "lose"? Are many of the current "threes" in use just transitional forms as part of a developmental process? Is the usage of anthropomorphisms an effect of this transitional process just like its application to electrical circuitry by asking if a binary formula is a (babbled) speech pattern and that this is due to a binary type of hearing process?
